Florence, Tre
April 18, 2019
Some of my fondest memories from our Italy trip happened on this day. I’ll always remember walking through Pitti Palace and its vast halls, stopping to appreciate the interesting paintings (like that of the Jewish heroine, Judith) and at one point realizing I might have gone a little too far in my appreciation and too close to the art piece because an alarm went off. I muttered an apology and quickly walked away only to realize that the sound was following me around! Turned out my mom unknowingly activated her self-defense alarm and it was blaring from her bag LOL
Joking aside, it was truly a wonderful day. Stumbling upon Animalia Fashion was a pleasant surprise. I loved lounging under a tree in the Boboli Gardens - felt like I was living my Renaissance woman dreams. I found the gelato flavor to end all other gelato flavors (Nocciolosa from Perché No - I miss you. I still think about you.) And capping off our day and this part of the trip at Piazzale Michelangelo at golden hour was all too perfect.
Oh Florence, you’ll always hold a special place in my heart. xx
