Mike and I celebrated my birthday last year by becoming licensed divers. Probably one of my best birthdays ever. I’ve always wanted to learn how to dive. I don’t know why it took me so long to get around doing it. Maybe I was just waiting for Mike to come into my life lol obviously, most of our time was spent underwater and actually learning to dive so we don’t have a lot of photos from this trip. Nonetheless, I want this weekend to have its own space on my website cause this trip holds such a special place in my heart. (It’s the first time I saw a turtle underwater!!)

We were joined by Monica and Carlos. Monica decided to do a discovery dive first. Carlos, on the other hand, is a licensed rescue diver. Definitely felt safer with him around. But I felt the safest with my dive buddy, who took it upon himself to administer more oxygen into my system. 🙃

These photos bring back so many fond memories. I’m glad we did this weekend. Now, I can see more of the world, not just on land but underwater too!
