Boracay

In June 2016, Mike’s maternal great-grandmother celebrated her 100th birthday. They say her secret to living a long life is one San Miguel beer a day 🍺 Their relatives from Australia flew to Manila to celebrate the momentous occasion. A party was thrown and there was lots of beer and dancing (which I’ve come to find is a staple in any Araneta celebration.) Of course, no trip to the Philippines is complete without some beach time. So here’s all 30+ of us taking over Boracay.

This was my first time traveling with Mike and his family. First time traveling with a boyfriend’s family really, let alone a clan. I was nervous to say the least. But all that melted away with each “cheers” and cha-cha step. Truly one of the most beautiful and fun families I’ve come to know, each one as warm as the next.

Did I mention they’re all giants?? Never thought of myself as short until I met this family lol
