Measure Up: Asado Siopao

Been craving for siopao for over a month now, but with the lockdown and quarantine, it was near impossible to get the exact siopao I wanted (aka Shang Palace siopao. 🤤) Tried the frozen grocery pack kind but it just didn’t satisfy the craving so I asked Donya Luzee to share her recipe and her Asado Siopao did not disappoint! It was easy enough that I was able to do it on my own. Although, I will admit my yeast mix looked completely different from hers. Tried it several times until I got to a point of “pwede na yan!” lol but it worked cause my dough doubled in size!

Fun fact: when my mom was pregnant with me, she would crave for Rustan’s siopao, specifically Rustan’s, nothing else. Maybe that’s why I’m very specific with my food cravings as well 🤔

In retrospect, I should’ve taken a photo of the inside. Oh well, never claimed to be a pro-food blogger anyway. Learning curve.
